Westwood’s, Guilford, CT. It is huge and more than amazing. Imagine this. 1,200 acres, host to 40 miles of trails (20 of them mapped) all maintained weaving in and around an amazing sampling of nature made points of interest including water falls, caves, an inland tidal lake (known as Lost Lake,) marsh land and that’s just a small list. Beauty and wonder everywhere. The land is owned and maintained by Connecticut State Forest, Guilford Land ConservationTrust (GLTC) work (with The Guilford Conservation Commission on maintaining the trails), Town of Guilford and private ownership.
We will be on the trails considered easy with stops along the way for discovery and time to snap a photo or two. You’ll know you are in the woods. I always feel very fortunate some folks decided this area could serve as a preserve for enjoying many activities in the out of doors
