Turtle Creek Nature Preserve, in Essex and Old Saybrook, CT. This is a truly lovely nature preserve. The land is maintained by the Nature Conservancy. The trails are wide and generally hard dirt. All are considered easy. It is very doable, relaxed hike with a main trail of 1.8 miles. There has been some tree damage over the last few years, caused by pests and storms. But it is still possible to walk in awe. Their are no facilities. Please, remember your water bottle. Small parking lot. Car pooling encouraged. NO on street parking available.
