Pleasant Valley Preserve

Pleasant Valley Preserve in Lyme, Every time I walk here I do that old fashioned thing of thinking I may loose my breath being in this amazing outdoor space. Image this, 20 – 30 feet Cedars, conifers, beech, hemlock old maple, oaks, woodland birds, fish, invertebrates all among trees through open fields. Yes, there 1 us water: more than a few streams and it borders the 8 mile river.
It is managed by the Nature Conservancy and the Lyme Conservation Trust. “Ecological Integrity” is their guide for managing the land. There are no facilities. You’ll like having your water bottle filled and with you. There is parking and parking along the side of the road is permissible.
